Meet Ann Goemaere – Customer Solutions Support at Bekina BeSealed, Compounds and Indurub

Today we’re turning the spotlight on Ann Goemaere, Customer Solutions Support. She has been part of the Bekina family since May 2023. Discover more about the variety in her role, how she has experienced the past two years, and what her favourite moments – so far – have been.
Can you tell us a little more about your job at Bekina?
I’ve been working here for almost two years now as Customer Solutions Support. Time has really flown, because no two days are the same! As Customer Solutions Support, I am responsible for providing operational and organizational support to the Area Sales Manager, Business Unit Managers and Sales Director. I’m also the key point of contact between production, packing, logistics, accounting, R&D, planning and QSE. So my job is very varied: from quotations and orders to production follow-up and payments. I stay in close contact with both colleagues and customers through every possible channel: online, on site at the customer’s premises, at our office or at trade fairs. In short, my role is all about finding solutions – it’s even in the job title, ‘Solutions’. What I really like about my role is that I get a lot of autonomy while working in a strong team where we support each other.
Why did you decide to work here?
When I first heard about Bekina, I was drawn to the diversity of its products and expertise. During my interview, I immediately felt the professionalism, enthusiasm and challenge. There was a clear match, and that was the deciding factor for me in choosing Bekina.
What has been your most enjoyable experience here so far?
There have been many great moments over the past two years, but what immediately comes to mind are the activities outside of work hours. Our last board game night, for example, was an absolute blast. We had so much fun! I also really enjoy gatherings like the ‘Pré Congé Trakté’ and the New Year's reception. These events allow you to connect with colleagues from different departments, meet new faces, and get to know each other better. These initiatives really strengthen team spirit.

Can you give an example of a project or achievement that you are proud of?
I get great satisfaction from making small, everyday process improvements. If something can be done more efficiently, I’m on it! Sharing knowledge with colleagues and learning from each other is crucial in this regard. For example, I already had experience with SAP from my previous job and I enjoyed bringing this knowledge to my role at Bekina – helping my colleagues where I could and working together to take our efficiency to the next level. I also take pride in setting up new collaborations and assisting clients old and new. By better aligning processes and systems, we can not only work more efficiently internally, but also help customers even more effectively.
What do you like most about your job?
The customer contact, the variety in my duties and the teamwork! Every day is different and I am constantly learning. Plus, I work with great colleagues who are always there for each other. This positive working atmosphere makes the work extra enjoyable. At Bekina BeSealed, we take an ‘A to Z’ approach, meaning we handle everything from concept to completion. Thanks to this vertical integration, we can respond quickly to specific needs and requirements. Being in such close contact with colleagues from different departments as well as clients, I get to follow the entire process from start to finish. Having that broad perspective is incredibly valuable.
What makes Bekina unique as an employer?
For me personally, it is the combination of several things. On a practical level, it’s close to home, and I have the option to work from home once a week. But equally important is the feel-good atmosphere, the autonomy, the open door policy, and the strong organizational structure. You really don’t feel like just a number here, but a valued part of the team.
Would you recommend working here? If so, why?
Absolutely! If you are looking for a job where you can develop yourself, be appreciated and have the opportunity to grow, Bekina is definitely worth considering. It’s also a place where you can be yourself. That might sound like a cliché, but it’s true.
