As an operator at Bekina Compounds, you are a key link in our production process. You produce high-quality rubber compounds, monitor quality and ensure that our customers can count on reliable deliveries. Thanks to the variety of tasks and workstations, your job remains challenging. You’ll be joining a local family-run business with an international reach. From its base in Kluisbergen, Bekina Compounds manufactures rubber compounds for a range of applications and international customers.

Job description

In this role as an operator, you will be versatile and able to work on various machines within the Compounds production department. You can choose between a two-shift system (5.00 am – 1.05 pm and 1.00 pm – 9.05 pm) or a fixed night shift (Sunday night to Thursday night, 9.00 pm – 5.05 am).

Mixer

  • Weighing out powders and adding the correct quantities to the machine
  • Visualisation and mixer control
  • Troubleshooting using procedures (computer-controlled settings)
  • Technical understanding (the machine operates using suction and blowing systems, vacuum pumps)

Mills

  • After mixing, the rubber enters the mills
  • Follow the instructions on the information sheet
  • Removing rubber and cooling
  • Mix again if the quality does not meet the required standard (quality control)
  • Physical operations: cutting, stripping

Logistics

  • Loading and unloading raw materials using a forklift truck
  • Experience is essential (certification can be obtained or renewed internally)
  • Transport using a pallet truck
  • Preparing pallets and extensions
  • Loading Big Bags into the silos

4

Extrusion

  • Setting the correct parameters
  • Adjusting to the correct configuration (fitting sieve meshes and the correct dies)
  • Quality control (monitoring correct dimensions during the production process)
  • Packaging of finished products
