Accountant

For our business unit Bekina NV, we are currently looking for a: Accountant

As an A-to-Z Accountant, you will be responsible for the complete accounting of three group companies. You will manage the accounting process from start to finish, ensuring that all financial administration is carried out accurately, on time and in compliance with applicable legislation.

Together with your fellow accountant, you will form a strong team, supporting each other and acting as back-up when needed.

Your Challenge

  • Managing the full accounting cycle, from day-to-day transactions through to monthly and year-end closing.
  • Processing and verifying incoming invoices using OCR, as well as handling payroll-related accounting entries.
  • Monitoring and reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
  • Managing investments and fixed assets and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory declarations and reports in a timely manner, including VAT returns, Intrastat declarations and surveys.
  • Contributing to the consolidation of the group companies.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for accounting and tax-related matters concerning your entities.
  • Playing an active role in the optimisation and digitalisation of financial processes, including the further development of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Taking the lead in continuous improvement projects within the Finance department and involving colleagues in achieving shared objectives.

What We Expect from You

  • You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • You have a strong affinity with IT and ERP systems and are proficient in Excel.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • You are able to independently lead new projects and improvement initiatives and know how to engage and motivate colleagues towards achieving a common goal.
  • You are Dutch-speaking and have a good knowledge of French and English.
